Who exactly is KOMPAN? Simply put, they are the global leader in outdoor play and fitness equipment. They make and install over 1,000 playgrounds or fitness areas every month, either alone or with trusted partners like ParkVision.
KOMPAN started in 1970 when their founder realized children like playing on the sculptures he was creating as art. This was the beginning of the play sculptures he began to produce.
At that same time, there was an increasing number of children that were starting daycare. This put pressure on these children when it came to developing their core proficiencies. It is the reason KOMPAN compiled a team of child experts which they coined “the KOMPAN Play Institute”. Their focus was to create products that stimulated the children’s development as they played on this equipment.
KOMPAN’s designs inspire children’s imagination, encouraging pretend play and improving their social abilities. This philosophy is reflected in their name. KOMPAN actually comes from the Danish word for “companion and lifelong friend”.

As the Principal at ParkVision, Bruce leads the team that brings passionate design and collaboration to playground and outdoor fitness solutions for clients throughout Michigan and Ohio. Bruce’s career has encompassed co-owning a premier service organization, growing and developing a retail enterprise and now leading the team at American Athletix and ParkVision. His work life is balanced with time spent with his family and friends enjoying outdoor sports through the 4 seasons of Michigan. Heathier and happier communities is our focus. Let us show you how!

Daniel Paul, CPSI

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Residing in Richfield, OH and serving Central to Northern Ohio.
15+ years in Parks & Recreation Space

With over 15 years experience in the Parks & Recreation space, Daniel works closely with Landscape Architects, School Districts, Municipalities and Parks to bring a vision to life that benefits everyone within the community. Daniel loves to work closely with his clients getting them engaged in the design process to provide the greatest possible value to them. His experience as a General Contractor building parks & playgrounds gives him the experience he needs to make sure you project is managed properly and that it will be delivered smoothly. As a Certified Playground Safety Inspector, Daniel takes his duties seriously to provide safe but fun playgrounds and parks for his clients. Daniel is married and has a young son. He loves spending time with his family in a variety of activities, especially outdoors. Daniel is committed to fitness and believes strongly in the value that outdoor play and fitness provides families both physically and mentally. He truly enjoys seeing projects come to life for the enjoyment of all.
Daniel earned his Bachelors of Science in Accounting & Entrepreneurship from The University of Akron.

Angela Reamer

PROJECT MANAGER

Serving Michigan & Ohio.

With over 20 years of business administration, ranging from small companies to large corporations, Angela is well known for her attention to detail and being able to handle many tasks at a time. With each position she has held she has taken great pride in seeing projects come to completion all while having fun doing it. Angela also finds great joy in encouraging others in helping meet their goals and aspirations. When Angela is not working, she enjoys staying healthy and active. Angela grew up in Ludington, Michigan, which is a small town on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. From a young age she spent most of her time doing competitive swimming and playing softball. She also worked as an indoor/outdoor lifeguard and taught swimming lessons. Today she still enjoys spending time near the water but is more drawn to the land. She has two beautiful teenage daughters and a 2-year-old Pitbull/blue heeler mix pup. Together they love to find new trails to walk and are always looking for new adventures.
Angela earned her Associate of Arts in Applied Science – Accounting from West Shore Community College in Scottville, MI.

Eric collaborates with Central and Southern Ohio School Districts, Landscape Architects, and Park & Recreation Departments. Eric uses a customer-first design process with clients to energize communities toward health and fitness. He has used his experience as a Recreation Consultant since 2017 to design memorable playgrounds that become destination parks for the surrounding area. Safety is always at the top of the list as a Certified Playground Safety Inspector.
Eric earned his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Youngstown State University.

Frank makes sure the customers vision and designs are implemented and brought to life with a customer first solution-based process.

Derek Lehecka, CPSI

Residing in Detroit, MI and serving Southeast Michigan.

Derek is a Michigan native who brings a diverse background ranging from co- managing a community food bank in Detroit to designing pump tracks and custom features for mountain bike trails. He has also resided in Duluth, MN and Bentonville, AR. He is passionate about serving the community which has been a consistent driving principle throughout his career. Derek is a dog dad to Amber, a rescue pit/lab mix. He enjoys a variety of activities including hiking, biking, and working in the community gardens. Derek is committed to ensuring that all communities have equitable access to quality fitness and recreation spaces.
